” Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
-Margaret Mead
This baby Green Sea Turtle Hatchling was found cold stunned on the beach. He was recovering for a few days before being release.
This is Ron Jon. He is a Hawskbill turtle that was brought to the Loggerhead Marine Center for recovery. His front flipper was nearly severed by fishing line that was not properly disposed of.
I believe that conservation is the key to protecting the sea turtle species
and together we CAN make a difference.
There are 7 different species of sea turtles in the world, all of which are either endangered or threatened.
Sea turtles are a species that can truly be defined as “Global Travelers”. They can tell a compelling story of environmental challenges facing many species throughout the world. We have sea turtles that visit our coast to feed and/or nest on our beaches who also visit coastlines of West Africa, Novia Scotia, Mexico and elsewhere.
I have taken upon myself to be an active part in the conservation efforts for sea turtles by donating 5% of the sale price of my work to various sea turtle conservation organizations worldwide.
With your photography purchase, you will not only be receiving beautiful photos of your special day, but you will also be supporting conservation efforts for sea turtles worldwide in a very real way. Upon final payment, you will receive a Certificate of Recognition signed by the Sea Turtle Preservation Society with a beautiful matted sea turtle photo, signed by me.
I regularly do volunteer work for various conservation organizations that support sea turtle conservation. Education and conservation are key to the sea turtle species survival. Every effort now to educate the public and conserve what we have may allow future generations to also stand in awe of these gentle giants, just as I have.
The Conservation Orgazinations that currently purchase and sell my sea turtle photography are listed below. Each of these organizations strive to further educate the public on sea turtle conservation and the importance of the species survival. A special “Thank You” goes out to each of them for including my art in their Sea Turtle Conservation programs. If you have a chance, check them out. You are guaranteed to learn something you didn’t know about Endangered Species and Sea Turtles.
